It’s Easy Family Meals Friday and I have found a very simple recipe for Crock Pot Chili just in time for the weekend. Time has slipped away from me this week, my gosh the week has flown buy so fast. I want to sit and relax and enjoy some family time without worrying about dinner.
I wanted a good Crock Pot Chili recipe that didn’t require soaking the beans, buying a chili brick or a list a ingredients longer than my arm. I found it, tried it and now I have got to share it with you. Here is your Easy Family Meals idea to get you through the weekend. Enjoy!!
Oh and by the way, I didn’t know what “Chorizo” was: Chorizo is a Spanish style pork sausage usually spices with garlic and paprika. Just in case you were wondering.
Crock Pot Chili
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 lb 90% lean ground beef
- 8 oz. bulk raw chorizo or 1/2 package (15 oz.) raw chorizo
- 1 can (16 oz) chili beans in chili sauce
- 2 cans (14 1/2 oz each) zesty chili-style diced tomatoes, undrained
Directions:
- Place beef and chorizo in Rival Crock Pot and break into small pieces with a fork.
- Stir in beans and tomatoes.
- Cook on low 7 hours.
- Skim off and discard excess fat before serving.
- Top with sour cream and shredded cheese if desired.
